The Corvette’s standard pretensioning seatbelts also sense rear collisions and remove slack from the seatbelts to help protect the occupants from whiplash and other injuries. The NSX doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.

The Corvette has standard Automatic Emergency Braking, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The NSX doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The Corvette’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The NSX doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Corvette’s optional Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The NSX doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

Both the Corvette and the NSX have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available blind spot warning systems.

The Corvette’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the NSX’s (6 vs. 5 years).

There are almost 11 times as many Chevrolet dealers as there are Acura dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Corvette’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Corvette first among compact premium sporty cars in their 2023 Initial Quality Study. The NSX isn’t in the top three in its category.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2023 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Chevrolet vehicles are better in initial quality than Acura vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Chevrolet above average in initial quality. With 41 more problems per 100 vehicles, Acura is rated below average.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2022 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Chevrolet vehicles are more reliable than Acura vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Chevrolet above average in long-term dependability. With 21 more problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, Acura is rated below average.

The Corvette E-Ray’s standard 6.2 V8 hybrid produces 55 more horsepower (655 vs. 600) than the NSX’s 3.5 turbo V6 hybrid. The Corvette Z06’s standard 5.5 DOHC V8 produces 70 more horsepower (670 vs. 600) than the NSX’s 3.5 turbo V6 hybrid.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Corvette (except Z06)’s fuel efficiency. The NSX doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Corvette has 2.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the NSX (18.5 vs. 15.6 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the Corvette Z06/E-Ray CCB’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the NSX:

For better traction, the Corvette Z06/E-Ray’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the NSX (F:275/30R20 & R:345/25R21 vs. F:245/35R19 & R:305/30R20).

The Corvette Z06/E-Ray’s 275/30R20 front and 345/25R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the NSX’s 35 series front and 30 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Corvette Z06/E-Ray has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. The NSX’s largest wheels are only 19-inches in the front and 20-inches in the rear.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Corvette can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The NSX doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Corvette’s wheelbase is 3.7 inches longer than on the NSX (107.2 inches vs. 103.5 inches).

The Corvette Z06 Z07 Coupe handles at 1.16 G’s, while the NSX Type S pulls only .99 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The Corvette Z06 Z07 Coupe executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.9 seconds quicker than the NSX (21.9 seconds @ .99 average G’s vs. 23.8 seconds @ .87 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Corvette with Magnetic Ride Control’s turning circle is 3.3 feet tighter than the NSX’s (36.4 feet vs. 39.7 feet). The Corvette’s turning circle is 1.6 feet tighter than the NSX’s (38.1 feet vs. 39.7 feet).

The Chevrolet Corvette may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 100 to 450 pounds less than the Acura NSX.

The Corvette’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The NSX doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

The Corvette Coupe has a much larger trunk than the NSX (12.6 vs. 4.4 cubic feet).

The Corvette has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The NSX doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

When two different drivers share the Corvette, the optional memory system makes it convenient for both. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver and front passenger’s seat positions, steering wheel position, suspension setting and outside mirror angle. The NSX doesn’t offer a memory system.

The Corvette’s optional easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked or the ignition is switched off, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The NSX doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

The Corvette’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The NSX does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Corvette offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, tachometer, turn signal and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The NSX doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The Corvette’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The NSX’s power window switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Corvette has standard extendable sun visors. The NSX doesn’t offer extendable visors.

On extremely cold winter days, the Corvette’s optional heated steering wheel provides comfort, allowing the driver to steer safely and comfortably before the car heater warms up. The NSX doesn’t offer a heated steering wheel.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Chevrolet Corvette offers an optional wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console and for the rear passengers. The NSX doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The Chevrolet Corvette comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Acura NSX isn’t available as a convertible.

The Corvette is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The NSX doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
